Credit & Collections Supervisor

This position is with the COMPUTER SYSTEMS SEGMENT of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. This particular division of Computer Systems, Volt Delta Resources, LLC, provides directory assistance services, and designs, develops, sells, leases and maintains computer-based directory assistance services along with other database management and related services, primarily to the telecommunications industry. VoltDelta is a subsidiary of a multi-billion dollar public company. We have an immediate need for a Credit and Collections Supervisor in New York City, NY.
Reporting to the Credit and Collections Manager, you will be responsible for keeping records and files of balances, deposits, and credits and conferring with customers regarding their delinquent accounts. You will be coordinating with sales personnel to resolve customer account issues, working with the Billing Analyst to adjust incorrect charges and reviewing aged trial balances. Evaluating monthly customer aging and cash application reporting for accuracy or discrepancies in addition to the maintenance of monthly accounts receivable status reports encompass responsibilities. Supervising procedures related to training, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work of staff.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting, Finance or related field in addition to three to five year experience with credit and collections in a supervisory role. We require the abilities to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with senior management, specific skill in collection telephone techniques and in writing effective collection letters. Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and research credit and financial information, manage competing demands in a changing environment and build rapport and trust with customers in high-pressure situations. Technical knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Peoplesoft are needed for success in this role.
