CLAIMS PROCESS MANAGER

 

Responsibilities include:

1) Direct contact with consumers, dealers and distributors ? resolve complaints before they become claims.

2) Determine cause of complaint ? manage independent contractor field investigations; manage inspection cost vs. claim value.

3) Recommend changes to installation instructions and topics to be covered in installation training seminars.

4) Intercede in all Better Business Associations complaints and resolve.

5) Manage any small claims court lawsuits.

6) Maintain good relationships with distributors and dealers while protecting company?s financial interest.

7) Settle all complaints/claims in the most equitable honest manner protecting the company?s reputation and Good Will.

8) Utilize dealers and distributors to the maximum extent possible to resolve complaints and avoid claims.

9) Oversee preparation of periodic loss reports.

10) Create and maintain an organized and efficient filing system for claims.

11)  Field variety of telephone calls from distributors, retailers, and consumers.

Coordinate returns as necessary.

12) Attend periodic claims-related meetings with Sales, Shipping and Warehouse personnel.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelors Degree in Business. A minimum of 3 years experience in consumer products claims reporting procedures. Professional claims-related experience with distribution or retail customers preferred. Strong analytical competency. Attributes desired include assertiveness, persistence, self-starter, problem-solver and results-driven. Effective interpersonal skills, including presentation, listening, and written communications. Solid conflict resolution skills are also a must. Professional, confident demeanor with an ability to influence without supervisory responsibility. Will need to be adaptive, responsive, and display technical and leadership versatility in a dynamic mode, while being highly visible. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities due to excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel: Access helpful: SAP a plus.
