Sales Representative

 

Principle Function:
To answer inbound calls and initiate outbound calls; accurately describe to prospective customers the products and services provided by the Doctor Diabetic Supply, Inc.; process customer data appropriately, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and a positive, outgoing attitude. 

 

Compensation: 

Base + Commission + Overtime + Health/Dental Benefits

Up to $65,000 per year


Supervisory Relationships:
1. Directly reports to Team Captain
2. Indirectly reports to Sales Manager
3. No Supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
(Includes the following and all other duties that may be assigned.  Company will provide initial training regarding its products and service.)

Make outbound calls to potential customers (i.e. individuals who have requested Company information and/or registered for Company promotions).

Meet or exceed minimum sales requirements as set by Department management. 

Gather and enter accurate customer information into the computer database.
Obtain insurance and payment information for each new customer.
Be available for inbound calls when necessary.
Be able to navigate between different computer systems in order to correctly enter the customer?s information.
Transfer calls to appropriate departments when necessary.
Describe accurately and professionally the products and service offered by the company.  

Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures with an emphasis on professional behavior and Medicare compliance.
Use appropriate telephone etiquette at all times.
Additional duties as directed by the Department?s senior management.

Maintain an excellent attendance record, including punctuality.

 

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While the Company will provide initial training, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferably some college; in lieu of college degree, minimum one year of related customer service and/or successful sales/customer intake experience.  


Computer Skills:
Required: Beginner level knowledge of basic personal computer (PC) operations.  Beginner level experience with Excel and Outlook as well.
