Customer Service Account Manager

Located near Penn Station, we are a Manhattan-based manufacturer of baby furniture and accessories. We have a career opportunity for an individual who has a methodical approach to business, hard working and has the skills to assist our Operations team in our growing company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Primary Responsibilities:Manages the processing of purchase orders; ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer invoicing. Manage team performance standards. Responsible for the maintenance and development of Standard Operating Procedures. Utilize internal and external resources (e.g., MIS, Finance, Logistics, 3PL, etc.) to fully analyze problem areas, and develop and implement corrective action/process improvement initiatives. Reconciliation of Customer Accounts relating to invoices and expediting of discrepancies. Updating the departments operating standard as related to Blue Cherry. Lead Tier 1 account conference calls: Identify potential procedural issues Insure standards are met Lead group to issue resolution Supervise, train, coach and develop staff of 11 associates. Make personnel decisions (e.g., hires, evaluation ratings/merit awards). Develop departmental KPI?s and identify the need and develop corrective action programs as required to address non-compliant KPI?s. Periodic update to Management related to departmental performance.

Secondary Responsibilities:Assist with special projects as required. May conduct training sessions with other departments and employees. Provides flexibility throughout the department by being utilized in other positions as the need arises.

Work Experience Required:Two years experience in Administration, Operations and/or logistics. Supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Job Skills Required: Computer skills- possess accurate data entry skills Proficiency in Excel/Access/Word Strong written and verbal communication skills with analytical aptitude. Highly motivated with ability to multi task in a dynamic environment. Ability to communicate effectively with various departments. Knowledge in working with inventory control, order processing and logistics information systems. Must be a ?Team Player?

Education Required:College degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business or equivalent experience.

Training/Certification:APICS certification a plus Experience with Blue Cherry a plus

Salary commensurate with experience.
