Travers Tool Company, a leader in the community since 1924, is one of the world?s largest and most prestigious Direct Mail Distribution?Companies. With the recent implementation of a new software system in June, we have a need for Collections Associates with varying degrees of experience. These are great opportunities for the right candidates.

Reporting to the Credit and Collections Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop relationships with our customers to ensure prompt payment and to resolve any delinquent accounts. Additionally, you will be evaluating monthly customer aging and cash application reporting for accuracy or discrepancies, along with the maintenance of monthly accounts receivable status reports.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an AS or BS in Accounting, Finance or related field in addition to one to two years experience with credit and collections. But, we also welcome recent grads!
We require strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing at all levels. Professional telephone etiquette and the ability to create effective collection letters are essential tools for success. Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and research credit and financial information, manage competing demands in a changing environment and build rapport and trust with customers in high-pressure situations. Computer proficiency a must.
