Customer Service and Transportation Analyst

General Summary
This is a temporary position to fill business needs due to other project commitments. It is anticipated that this need, and the temporary positions, will begin around August 2006 and will end by the end of March 2007, though needs are subject to change. Successful candidates will not become employees of Campbell.

The position has responsibilities in all areas of the Customer Business Services group, primarily Customer Service, with support for Transportation and Distribution. This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service as well as maintaining strong professional relationships with assigned and internal customers. This position will perform a broad variety of customer and order service duties relative to the entry and post entry service for all types of orders. The incumbent will be expected to courteously and promptly resolve customer questions and problems or direct customers to the appropriate contact if additional assistance is necessary. This position will also complete related records, reports, and documentation required to support assigned customers. This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounts receivable duties including the resolution of customer deductions pertaining to sales/shipment allowances. The incumbent will be expected to keep management well informed of activities and significant problems, and provide support to area staff as needed.

Additionally, this position may be asked to assist in analyses pertaining to Transportation and Warehousing. This may include cost impact and process improvement analyses. Additional responsibilities possible depending on the needs of the group and skill set of the candidate.

Principal Accountabilities
40% Primary responsibility is to manage customer purchase orders accurately and timely through the order life cycle: From the receipt of the order to customer delivery. Conduct price verification for all customers when applicable. Maintain accurate customer profiles. Ensure customers follow and adhere to policy and program criteria as it relates to supply chain.
20% Research, analyze and determine the validity of customer deductions and make decisions for appropriate resolution either by generating internal credit memos or establishing collection measures. Responsible for securing all documentation for items resolved by team for audit processes. Includes assisting Sales/Brokers with documentation and research for promotional and post audit deductions.
20% Communicate with customers by tracking orders and shipments, checking inventory levels, trouble shooting and responding to all other questions, inquires and complaints. Ensure accurate data entry of service notification. Facilitate a positive, repeatable experience for the customer. Effectively manage customer's inventory to achieve targeted levels of service and weeks coverage
10% Coordinate with Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation, Finance and Sales Management to resolve service related issues and other order discrepancies which could negatively impact the customer or Campbell's.
10% Provide analytical support to Transportation and Warehousing teams as necessary.

Education & Experience
Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience: 5-10

Qualifications
Familiarity with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, and Access
Strong attention to detail
Previous customer service, accounts receivable and order management experience preferably in a high volume consumer products environment
Good Communication, customer interface, and teamwork skills
Customer and Service Focused
Good quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure
Previous experience using SAP preferred
