Customer Support Specialist

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Specialist in our Durham, North Carolina office.


This position is responsible for providing assistance, via phone, email or web to Per-Se Technologies clients seeking resolution to problems. This position documents time spent on calls and resolutions to recurring problems. This position works with supervision to resolve or escalate problems. This position provides high quality, professional service to all clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

? Answers inbound telephone calls from clients about Per-Se software.

? Responds to emails from clients about problems or functionality of the product.

? Documents time spent assisting on calls and ensures documentation is clearly readable, concise and accurate in accordance with established procedures.

? Documents recurring, difficult or complex problems and recommends ways to correct and prevent them.

? Works with supervision to resolve problems, if unable to resolve follows escalation procedures to route issue to the appropriate resource.

Requirements:

 

? Must have 2 years at college level in degree program (directly relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis).

? Must have 2 years of experience in customer service and technical support.

? Must have excellent communication skills and excellent problem solving skills.

? Must have an understanding of relational databases. 

? Must have previous call center experience.

? Must have working knowledge of Windows, DOS, Pervasive, remote support software and networks. 

? Preferred experience in advanced technical skills in troubleshooting application software, networks and operating systems.

? Preferred experience in MS-SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBOSS and Crystal reports.
