Customer and Operations Support

Synovia, Inc, a leading provider of GPS solutions for the school transportation industry, is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual willing to join our Operations Department.  Synovia is a young and growing company and this position has tremendous potential for advancement.

 

Primary Responsibility:To lead the Customer Support Department

 

Secondary Responsibilities: New customer setup and project managementInventory control and managementInternal CRM software administrationSales presentation assistance (with occasional tradeshows)

 

This position can lead to a managerial role or other opportunities within Synovia.  The following skills are required: communication, organization and personal time management, computer and software knowledge (operating systems, internal CRM product, MS Office, etc), electronics troubleshooting, logical thinking, problem solving, and interest in new technology.  The position will require traveling and the weekly hours will fluctuate based on projects.  It is not an hourly job, but a salaried position. 

 

This position will fall under the Operations Department of Synovia, which is lead by Brad Bishop, COO.  Due to the nature of our business, there is an overlapping involvement with the Technology Department, which means there will be interaction with Thomas Polan, CTO.  During the training period you will be assisting, learning, and working with current staff.  An extensive understanding of GPS hardware, windows software and cellular communications will be expected following the training period.

 

This job will require a creative business mind to help improve current processes for support issues and new project implementations. 

 

 







DUTIES

 

Customer Support - Hardware and Software Troubleshooting

? Communicate with customers on hardware/software issues

? Respond to customer IMMEDIATELY with possible answers

? Diagnose and correct hardware issues remotely or on-site as needed

? Track details on hardware issues to predict failures and determine global solutions

? Identify and report unwanted behavior in client software

? Report customer requests for hardware/software enhancements and upgrades

 

 

New Customer Setup and Project Management

? Program GPS hardware and prepare kits for new jobs

? Plan installation schedules with contracted or local installers

? Manage on-site installation quality, schedules and personnel

? Train customers on basic hardware troubleshooting

? Train customers on software application (occasional)

 

 

Inventory Control and Management

? Manage inventory based on Sales and Operations schedules

? Work directly with hardware suppliers and cellular carriers

 

 

Internal CRM software administrator

? Utilize Synovia?s CRM software for all applicable job functions

? Work with finance department to maintain accurate customer accounts and records
