Enterprise Processing Services (EPS), a unit of Fidelity Investments' Operations Group provides products and services to all Fidelity business units.  EPS offers a full range of composition, imaging, purchasing, publishing, fulfillment and distribution capabilities for incoming and outgoing customer correspondence.  Strategic alliances and price negotiations with external partners enable EPS to extend service capabilities and processing capacity to meet Fidelity's growing needs.  Utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technology, EPS helps Fidelity effectively communicate with customers.


As an EPS Demand Forecaster, you will develop detailed demand forecasts for EPS products.  In this role, you will function within an integrated, client-focused Planning team and serve as a primary liaison between Business Partner Management and Operations.  The Demand Forecaster plays a lead role in providing Operations with demand information and resource requirements to ensure that customer service levels meet client expectations.


 


 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):


? Preparing detailed demand forecasts for Operations.


? Maintaining and updating historical demand in ERP system.


? Analyzing demand profiles and trends.


? Using business intelligence from others in the department, developing demand forecasts:


? Regulatory and Fulfillment


? For financial forecast (budget and quarterly re-projections) and operating forecast


? For financial forecast, coordinate the process as well as prepare demand forecast


? Short-term, intermediate, and long-term forecasts


? Determine what is forecast-able and what is not


? Determine appropriate buckets (monthly, weekly, daily)


? Establish monthly operating forecast demand forecast cycle


? Establish metrics (measurements) for forecast accuracy


? Working with Planner/Schedulers to resolve demand/capacity issues as related to the release of daily schedules.


? Creating and developing demand forecast work process improvements.


? Relationship management--


? Establish a confident relationship with Production Planning, Business Partner Management, and Operations; meet weekly to review the operational


  performance, issues and concerns


  ? Interface with Finance to review financial forecasts


 



Education and Experience

? Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management or the equivalent.

? Two years of experience in demand forecasting, production/capacity planning, or related field experience is preferred.

 

  Skills/Knowledge

? Ability to learn and understand MRP (Material Resource Planning) techniques.

? Proficient in Excel, Access, Microsoft Word, Power Point.  Must be able to generate spreadsheets and perform data analysis.

? Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.

? Perform well within a cross functional team environment.

? Requires excellent inter-personal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with various levels across the organization.

? Good verbal and written presentation skills.

? APICS Certification (CPIM) is preferred.
