Documentation Control Specialist

• Reviews and checks engineering change notices (ECN's) for completeness and correctness prior to release.

? Drives ECRs/ECOs to completion on time and with 100% accuracy.

? Represents Documentation at interdependent group and cross-functional meetings.

? Researches ECNs for users, including history of a change, reason for change and an explanation of the actual change.

? Interfaces with other groups to discuss documentation procedures and requirements for any type of product. Works with appropriate groups to ensure all required information was provided. Prepares bi-weekly status reports relating to the functional area.

? Drives process improvements to reduce turn-around times and touch points in all product documentation and configuration management processes.

? Applies expertise in multiple disciplines: SAP Master Data Management, Configuration Planning, Configuration Identification, Product Master/Product Structure integrity, and Worldwide Service Documentation Guidelines.

? Provides assistance to internal customers in preparing complex Requests for Action (RFA).

? Ensures that Apple?s call centers, service providers, and repair depots have accurate and timely master data.

? Formulates and coordinates approval of Service Documentation Guidelines. Champions their release and implementation, as well as maintains guidelines.

? Conducts periodic audits of Service Documentation guidelines to ensure the integrity and validity of those processes.

? Maintains expert knowledge in Product Structuring, Engineering Release/Change Management, and SAP.

? Oversees periodic BOM audits during new product development.

? Performs regular audits of SAP master data




Required:
? Product documentation and configuration control expertise
? Ability to prioritize and multi-task a demanding workload
? Good typing skills (>40 WPM)
? Computer literacy ? MS Office, especially

Nice to Have:
? SAP MM module expertise (material master, configuration) with experience in SAP ERP implementations
? Agile experience, especially in administration
? Experience with documenting the service and support phase of the product life cycle.

? BA or BS degree in Business with 4+ years experience at High Tech company.
