Electronic Operations Specialist

Standard & Poor's, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies, is the world's foremost provider of independent credit ratings, indices, risk evaluation, investment research, data and valuations. An essential part of the world's financial infrastructure, Standard & Poor's has played a leading role for more than 140 years in providing investors with the independent benchmarks they need to feel more confident about their investment and financial decisions. And we do it with the utmost integrity. If our values speak to you, then speak to us. We are seeking an Electronic Operations Specialist (EOS) to provide production, operations and product support for RatingsXpress-Ratings product.  This position will assist Product Management with new product development, make recommendations for product enhancement and conduct ‘end-user’ testing.The EOS will provide customer support in the production and operations of RatingsXpress-Ratings and liaise with the Software Quality Assurance and IT departments to insure accuracy of RX-Ratings. 

A Bachelor's degree, in a related field.At least 1 year of experience working with electronic databases, data delivery and telecommunications concepts.Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve. Knowledge of S&P Credit Ratings data a plus.Knowledge of capital markets, fixed income securities, and the corporate, municipal and international credit markets a plus.Strong working knowledge of FTP directory structures and relational database concepts a plus.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
