Executive Director in Training

Atria Executive Director in Training (EDIT) program, a new development opportunity open to all who might aspire to become an Atria ED and who are open to invest the time and energy it takes to learn the skills required for this most critical role in our organization. EDIT is a six-month program designed to help future EDs learn the role, while simultaneously allowing Atria to build a pool of high-caliber EDs across the country. EDIT participants will develop functional and leadership skills by rotating through community departmental operations. Trainees will also gain exposure to the senior housing industry, attend Atria training courses such as MBA and ASU and receive coaching from experienced and respected company leaders.

 

Training sites for this initial offering of the program are planned for Atria Stratford (Stratford, CT) and Atria Shaker (Albany, NY). Please note that the training sites are located in Connecticut and New York, you must be willing to spend six months in one of these two locations. Upon graduation, trainees will be assigned to fill an open ED position, making it critical for candidates to have the ability to relocate.
