Export Customer Service-Inside Sales

·   Deals in the entire scope of exporting all product lines. 

?  Resolves customer problems by phone, fax, e-mail, etc. 

?  Assists in marketing programs designed to increase worldwide business. 

?  Negotiates freight and handling charges with forwarding companies. 

?  Processes shipment documentation for customs clearance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Handles inquiries for export customers, both current and new.

?  Develops quotations, negotiates pricing, processes orders and order data.

?  Follows up with customer orders and problems.

?  Solicits new business through networking, outbound telephone and fax, trade shows, etc.

?  Maintains database of current customers as well as new customer leads.

?  Negotiates freight and handling charges with freight forwarders.

?  Processes customs paperwork including but not limited to commercial invoices, letters of instruction, export declarations, letters of credit, document collection, airway bills, etc.

?  Negotiates payment terms with customers, new and old.

?  Advises on technical aspects of product usage for customer inquiries, and when needed, gains technical support from engineering.

?  Adjusts discount levels and pricing for products.

?  Keeps abreast of industry conditions worldwide and reports when necessary.

?  Development of new programs to make prospecting, order processing, etc. more efficient.

?  Tracks customer payment and invoicing to ensure proper payments are received in a timely manner to accounting.

?  Advises manufacturing of order requirements and shipping details.

?  Performs such other duties as have been performed in the past, or might be otherwise indicated by the general nature of the work performed.
Coordinates new product development with marketing and engineering.
