Reporting to an Implementation Director, the Implementation Project Manager leads the largest, most complex implementations and conversions from point of sale to transition to Client Relationship Management. Using a multitude of Fidelity resources and customized technology, the Implementation Project Manager motivates/manages the project team to complete projects on time and on budget while exceeding client expectations. The Implementation Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Project Management:
o Leads multiple projects through the discovery phase and develops realistic, workable plans and timelines with multiple deadlines. Effectively prioritizes workload based on urgency, importance, and client expectations
o Anticipates challenges and formulates viable options and solutions before they adversely affect the project and/or relationship
o Reviews/manages status reports that monitor the agreed-upon internal and external deliverables, and all project components, to ensure that risk is effectively managed
Consulting & Collaboration:
o Assumes a consultative role to acquire a solid understanding of the client’s business as well as their issues and needs in their current environment
o Demonstrates and maintains a strong understanding of wealth planning, trust services, life style management services, family philanthropy, custody, individual securities, alternative investments, restricted stock, cash management & lending services, accounting & valuation
o Research and comprehend family office needs and, where applicable, apply Fidelity’s product and services
o Partner with Sales by assisting with RFP’s and delivering presentations at prospecting meetings and finals meetings
o Partner with Product Development by communicating industry trends identified during due diligence meetings with prospects and newly acquired clients
Project Leadership & Team Facilitation:
o Lead and Manage a team on a project from point of sale through the complete transition to Client Relationship Management with minimal supervision
o Speaks succinctly and with confidence, asks critical, incisive questions, writes clearly and correctly, tailoring content and form of message to the medium and to the audience
o Motivates/manages project team members to complete project requirements on time, is results oriented, committed, decisive, and flexible, as well as being a true role model
o A minimum of 8 - 10 years of business analysis and client project management experience
o Strong understanding of wealth planning, trust services, life style management services, family philanthropy, custody, individual securities, alternative investments, restricted stock, cash management & lending services, accounting & valuation
o Expertise in industry business and technical knowledge, project management, working in collaborative partnerships, and strong communication/interpersonal skills
o Thorough understanding of the theories and principles of relationship management. Must be able to direct the efforts of the team and apply relationship management, project management, administrative concepts and methodologies, and introduce a strong level of creative thinking to work performed
o Initiate and participate in the quality improvement process, identifying opportunities for improvement, participating, and/or leading key initiatives for the organization
o Exceptional analytic, communication, and organization skills
o Exceptional influence, leadership, prioritization, adaptability, and multi-tasking skills
o Ability to interface effectively within and across organizations
o Ability to travel on short notice
