Funding Analyst

Drive Financial Services? LP, a Dallas-based subsidiary of HBOS plc, is a national consumer finance company that operates in the automobile financing sector. Drive? purchases retail installment contracts from automobile dealers for consumers with limited or below-average credit histories who are unable to obtain financing from traditional sources.  Drive is currently hiring for several Funding Analysts in our Funding Department.


Summary of Responsibilities:


The Funding Analyst coordinates the purchasing of retail installment contracts from Drive?s dealer base.  By working directly with Drive?s dealerships, Credit Analysts, Marketing Representatives and vendors, they ensure adherence to  state, federal and internal credit regulations.  Based on business needs, the standard is that each Funding Analyst will be expected to independently facilitate the purchasing of ten (10) completed contracts per day, and fifty (50) per week. 


Essential Functions:


*Independently manages of a book of customer files with little supervision or guidance.
*Determines whether or not to purchase $175,000 or greater in contracts daily.
*Performs advanced level of verifications to ensure credit guidelines are achieved.
*Provides world-class customer service through daily interaction with both internal and external customers, including Drive personnel, automotive dealerships, vendors and customers.
*Participates in team related activities and meetings.
*Utilizes creative methods to generate results and to foster teamwork.
*Identifies appropriate title work for various states.


Other Functions:
*Performs other duties as assigned.
*Special projects as requested.


Requirements:
*Bachelor?s degree strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
*Customer service, collections or loan processing experience a must.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Strong verbal skills.
*Preferred typing skills of 25 words per minute.
*PC/Windows knowledge  required.
*Confidentiality with privacy sensitive customer documents.
*Fluency in Spanish is helpful.
