GSIS Inside Sales Rep. (L/T Supplemental)

Sales and Distribution develops, integrates, sells and distributes IBM's unparalleled array of products and services. Our mission is to deliver the world's best IT solutions to our clients in such markets as telecommunications/media, government/public sector, finance/insurance, retail/distribution and industrial/manufacturing. We are actively searching for GSIS Inside Sales Reps to fill our long-term supplemental openings. The primary mission of the GSIS ITS Telesales Team is incremental phone based sales. The primary responsibility will be - making outbound calls to identify opportunities and generate revenue by driving identified opportunities to closure. The ideal candidates must possess a strong sales aptitude for performing sales campaigns, will have experience building relationships with customers for transactional & repeat opportunities, must be effective in teaming with other IBM sales & technical resources to provide complete solutions to customer business requirements, must be able to effectively articulate business issues and must be able to identify solutions. The successful candidates need to possess practical sales experience in Software, Hardware or other Technology-based areas with a proven track record and/or a strong sales aptitude and must be able to learn & apply knowledge quickly. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively while selling IBM SW products via the Telephone to IBM's customers, need to be persuasive and must be able to function in a high volume Outbound Sales Environment & function effectively as part of a team. Candidates need to be organized, have the ability to manage their Daily, Monthly & Quarterly workloads in a manner that enables them to meet set Revenue Goals and other performance based objectives. The ability to proactively network & build relationships with extended support teams & Field Sales personnel and to grow the pipeline & close more Revenue is strongly desired. Measures of success are: meeting or exceeding annual revenue objectives and customer satisfaction. We are looking for candidates with all or some of the following skills and/or experience: SW sales experience, Verbal & written communication skills, A 4 year college degree, Effective telephone rapport-building skills, Basic computer technology knowledge, a Sales aptitude, Effective teaming skills, an Ability to understand customer needs, Problem solving abilities and Cold calling skills. This position is a Long-Term Supplemental position that can last up to 3 years but will not exceed that amount of time. This is a commissioned position and the compensation will commensurate with experience.
