The company's primary target markets are life science, clinical laboratory, and industrial safety supply Currently, Fisher Scientific Managed Services is seeking an on-site Glass Wash Technician for a complex service engagement in the Cambridge, MA area. The Glass Wash Technician provides glass washing and sterilization services, maintaining a constant supply of clean and sterile lab glass. Utilizes centralized glass washing facilites. Maintains all required records and notifies Procurement Coordinator of all damaged glass that requires replacement. Serves as a liaison between Fisher and the customer. Establishes and fosters positive customer relationships. Essential functions include: ? Works independently with limited supervision. ? Maintains glass wash schedules and is flexible to handle emergencies. ? Maintains lab glass supply areas with clean, steril glassware. ? Performs inspection of glassware for cracks, breaks, and scratches contacting the procurement coordinator with all pertinent information for replacement. ? Maintains glass wash statistics as decided upon by Fisher Scientific and customer. ? Communicates with direct supervisor any customer issues or potential problems. ? Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements without the presence of site trainer and management team. ? Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times ? Attends required training sessions. ? Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills:
Requirements of position: ? HS Dipoma or equivalent; BA/BS degree preferred. ? 1-5 years customer service. ? Lab and/or lab services experience in the areas of glass washing and autoclaving preferred. ? Proficient verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills/Microsoft office. ? Ability to work overtime. ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. ? Ability to operate material handling equipment, i.e. power and manual pallet jacks, fork lifts, and light material handling equipment.
