Help Desk/Operations Tech I

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Is responsible for providing quality HelpDesk Support for all computer related issues on a 24x7x365 basis. Performs initial information gathering and problem analysis with an 80+% resolution ratio, referring unresolved issues to the appropriate next level support personnel. Enters all user reported issues into the Magic Helpdesk Tracking System with enough descriptive detail for the issues to be resolved effectively, including all trouble shooting steps and detailed resolution if applicable. During low volume periods, will also be responsible for completing IS productive work or assisting PC Support with some of their basic tasks.

Is also responsible for the daily monitoring and operation of all data center equipment. Performs the initial problem analysis for this equipment, reporting any problems to the appropriate personnel, and maintains the appropriate monitoring logs/magic tickets. Performs all daily production in accordance with the production schedule, as well as, additional requests submitted during the day.

Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent, in-depth knowledge of PC hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, maintenance & configuration & working knowledge of Windows NT, 2000 & XP client network configuration required.
