IT Help Desk Specialist
Retail Ventures, Incorporated, the parent company of Filene?s Basement and Value City Department Stores, is one of the fastest growing off-price retailers in the U.S. Due to our growth, RVSI is actively looking for a IT Help Desk Specialist to join our IT Department in Columbus, Ohio.
The IT Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for:
First line of contact for customers who experience IT related issues.
Answering telephone calls and troubleshooting issues.
Logging and following up calls on using the Track-It! Help Desk call tracking software.
Emailing issues and inquiries to the Help Desk mailbox are to be logged and researched as well.
Essential Functions
Creates Trouble Tickets
Answers incoming Help Desk calls from DSW and Value City Stores, Warehouses and Corporate offices.
Logs all incoming calls into TrackIt! software.
Troubleshoots IT related issues.
Escalates unresolved issues to other IT groups.
Notifies customers of issue status.
Responds to emails sent to the Help Desk mailbox
Opens outside vendor service calls
Additional Duties:
Changes network backup tapes
Monitors store polling
Prints reports
Verifies price file transmissions
Processes store inventory files
Ships equipment to stores Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the supervisor
The ideal candidate will possess:
At least 2 years of customer service experience
Analytical and organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Good written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Windows (9x ? XP)
Microsoft Office
General knowledge of PC hardware/software
Troubleshooting experience
High School Diploma
Previous customer service skills
