Industrial Products Inside Sales and Service Representative
Applied Industrial Technologies, with more than 440 facilities and over 4,400 employee associates across North America, is seeking a motivated, customer focused Customer Service and Sales Representative (Inside Sales). We are hiring for the following location:
Birmingham, AL.
Applied Industrial Technologies offers more than 2 million parts critical to the operations of customers in virtually every industry including food and beverage, petroleum, automotive, pulp & paper, mining, aggregate, and maintenance and repair. In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial and fluid power applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services.
As a Customer Service and Sales Representative, you will maximize your solid sales skills as you provide exceptional customer service and product education to our customers. Duties include:
? Assess customer needs and process customer telephone orders, quotes, price and delivery inquiries, and checking availability of stock.
? Proactively identify sales opportunities.
? Negotiate price/terms.
? Process customer orders in automated ordering system.
? Support outside sales staff in meeting customer needs.
? Provide follow-up on purchases.
? Deliver exceptional customer service.
Customer Sales and Service Representative Requirements
Five years experience in the customer service arena is required. Bachelors degree preferred plus specialized training in filtration, customer service practices and office functions is needed. Math aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical principles to address customer needs are essential. Success demands self-motivation and excellent communication skills.
