LEAD COLLECTOR

The Collection Representative will contact delinquent accounts and perform appropriate collection and follow-up procedures on problem accounts under the direction of the Collection Manager or Collection Supervisor as delegated. Three years collections experience required.

The representative will perform collection of accounts by using payment strategies to resolve the customer's delinquency.?Extensions,?loss mitigation leads,?phone payments, Western Union, and mail payments are some of the options available. This position utilizes various systems such as Mortgage Serve, Speedpay Weblet and Access to perform the necessary operations.

The representative will maintain records, notes and routing on delinquent accounts. Maintenance may include notifying manager of insurance, legal, bankruptcy, fraud, repossession and dispute accounts.

The representative will educate customers on future payments or the consequences of delinquency and give proper disclosures when procedure dictates. When applicable, the representative will notify the Collection Supervisor or appropriate delegate of problem accounts with a recommended course of action. The representative will promote and maintain a professional work environment within the collection operation at all times and adhere to all local policies and regulatory standards.

HS Diploma and/or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.

Three year collection experience required.

Ability to interact and communicate professionally by phone. (Bilingual in Spanish a plus).

Ability to work individually and as a team while maintaining the highest level of self-motivation.

Computer skills. ( Fast Data and Accurint a plus).

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends.

Base pay (+) production based bonus
