Lead Parts Associate

GCS Service, a division of Ecolab, is the trusted service leader in the commercial food equipment industry. Nationwide thousands of restaurants, hotels, hospitals and schools rely on GCS Service to provide preventative maintenance, service and repair of commercial cooking, refrigeration and warewashing equipment.

The Lead Parts Associate is responsible for physical inventory of parts for commercial foodservice equipment used in restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, schools, and corporations, including part returns to the manufacturer and inventory turns of the Regional Sales & Service Center (RSSC). In addition, this individual will establish and maintain a direct sale discount structure, provide parts support to technicians, and establish standards for a clean and orderly warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:


Achieve RSSC Direct Parts Sales targets
Establish and set up new local Direct Part customers
Facilitate, manage and monitor parts billing, cash management, and inventory
Negotiate purchase agreements with local suppliers & hardware stores
Monitor, manage and reduce inventory obsolescence and rebalance excessive inventory as directed.
Implement changes to the parts margin structure as directed.
Support part returns to the manufacturers as directed.
Supervise the local Parts Associate staff
Provide customer service and support to internal (Technician) and external parts customers in person and over the phone, including parts research, parts sales and marketing, order entry, shipping and receiving, and reporting data accordingly
Sell parts to customers, over the counter and phone, in a manner that delivers high customer satisfaction and retention
Pick purchased parts and prepares them for customer pick up in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
Receive and store inventory shipments from the National Distribution Center (NBC)
Maintain key relationships with customers and manufacturers; assisting in transferring relationships to the NDC as appropriate

Key Qualifications:


High School diploma or equivalent
Previous parts sales/support, and/or inventory control experience
Superior customer service skills

Previous supervisory experience highly preferred
Excellent communication skills
Basic Windows based computer skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
