Loan Officer/Specialist

Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for interviewing prospective borrowers, analyzing and determining their needs, communicating products and pricing programs and performing loan origination activities as well as gathering documentation and ensuring all applications consistently meet fundamental underwriting standards.

Primary Accountabilities:

? Knowledgeable with Conforming, Non-Conforming, Jumbo, and Alt?A, A-minus, Sub-
Prime, Prime, FNMA, FHLMC FHA and VA loans.
? Utilize selling techniques to close loans
? Meet personal production goals
? Take mortgage loan applications and prepare effective loan proposals
? Determine a prospect?s needs and sell the appropriate product
? Sell loans for appropriate amounts, rates and terms that comply with program guidelines

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? At least 8 months previous loan specialist/officer experience.
? Must be self-motivated.
? Good organization and time management skills.
? Excellent communication and customer service skills.
? High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
? Computer literate with at least 25 wpm typing proficiency.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary base is $24,000 annually, plus $1,500 per loan closed with no cap on commissions!
