Parts Sourcing Manager

The primary role of the Parts Sourcing Manager is the management of Parts Sourcing Associates, development of Supplier relationships and enhancement of business processes while serving as a resource for training and problem resolution.

Qualifications
Manages and develops Parts Sourcing Associates (18 - 45 associates) by setting team standards, developing individual and team goals, devising goal attainment strategies, and implementing process improvement plans.
Ensures performance reviews of new associates are completed at the 30 and 60-day points. Conducts performance reviews of all direct-reports at the 90-day point, mid-year and annual review timeframes.
Responsible for workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels, payroll management goals are attained, team goals are met and customer satisfaction objectives are attained.
Coaches associates on performance issues, addresses policy / ethics violations as needed.
Initiates Individual Development Plans (IDP) as appropriate to further associate development.
Initiates the performance plan for improvement process (PPI) as needed.
Maintains security access to the facility and is responsible for opening and closing the building.
Maintains Supplier databases, schedules and participates in Supplier quality audits. Creates action register to track open supplier issues. Maintains regular communication with Suppliers to follow up on open issues and ensure process improvements.
Facilitates training for new associates and on-going training needs.
Develops and maintains relationships with 2nd Tier Suppliers.
Seeks out new Suppliers using internet searches and networking skills.
Establishes and enforces business rules with new Suppliers including shipping requirements, invoicing and payment / account arrangements.
Negotiates pricing with new Suppliers; responsible for establishing new accounts and pricing standards.
Develops relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) and MasterSources. Contributes to process improvement activities with each Supplier.
Analyzes data collected by associates to determine root causes for process inefficiencies. Works with Parts Sourcing Process Development Manager to revise inefficient processes and implement process improvements.
Creates an environment in which team members can contribute to team development by sharing best practices and developing personal performance.
Self-directed. Works independently, prioritizes workload and handles multiple tasks simultaneously to efficiently service customers.
Manages own performance by keeping commitments and deadlines.
Continually seeks out productivity enhancements to improve personal performance and further business objectives.
Manages and develops relationships with internal customers including the Sears PartsDirect team, Service Units, Sears Technical Assistance Center (STAC), the Home Office Sourcing team and the In-Home technical workforce.
Utilizes various computer applications (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Mainframe systems, Internet, Library Imaging System, Business mapping software, Microsoft Project, Micrografx, Minitab and Lawson Inventory system) to manage projects, track associate performance, and expedite resolution of customer needs.
Takes initiative to acquire business knowledge to support company goals and objectives.
Effectively implements and supports change.
Some Travel Required
