Patient Service Representative - Home Care

has an excellent opportunity for a Patient Service Representative (Home Medical Equipment) in our Tulsa, OK office.


Job Duties (including but not limited to):

- Provide customers/patients with courteous, friendly, and efficient service and information.
- Develop knowledge of patient needs regarding HME, respiratory and supplies.
- Assist customers as required, in obtaining appropriate equipment/supplies, based on doctor??s prescription and customer requirements.
- Process incoming orders for HME, respiratory, and supplies using admissions training guidelines.
- Verify and document information for billing which may include, but is not limited to, claim forms, CMNS, pre-certification forms, authorization forms/numbers.
- Inform patients of their financial responsibility.
- Make follow-up calls to rental customers, to assure equipment is functioning and being properly utilized.
- May also provide limited instruction on care and use of equipment.
- Communicate to associates in all relevant departments regarding patient status.
- Develop knowledge of all WHS Home Care policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Excellent oral/written communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimal knowledge of medical terminology and or medical industry
- Basic computer skills
- Previous DME experience preferred, but not required
- Fluent in English and Spanish a plus
