Payroll Representative (Data Entry)

Flexible Work Schedule

Monday to Wednesday - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

or

Monday to Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m..

24 hour Work Week

BASIC FUNCTION:

Receives payroll data and enters it into the EasyPay system. Answers basic client questions on the EasyPay payroll system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receives payroll data from assigned clients via telephone and fax; enters data into the EasyPay system via CRT/PC; completes all required forms. (50%)

2. Verifies that input is ready for processing; corrects terminal and warning errors prior to processing. (15%)

3. Ensures that data is input on a timely basis; manages schedules to minimize incoming client calls; reschedules client data to be input, as necessary. (10%)

4. Responds to basic client inquires on the EasyPay system, taxes, etc.; refers more complex inquires to the Client Service Representative. (10%)

5. Maintains CATS with details of all client communications. (10%)

6. Keeps up-to-date and proficient on new product enhancements and changes via in-house training, seminars, documentation, etc. (5%)





Education:
High School Diploma, or the equivalent in education and experience, required.

Experience:
6 months to 1 year previous work experience required.

Generic Skills:Prior 10-key and/or Data Entry experience preferred. Prior payroll knowledge is helpful. Proven skills in telephone use and basic math. Good organizational skills with focus on detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work flexible days/hours helpful. Client service orientation.
