Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with physicians, providers and practice managers within the local health plan's physician and provider delivery system.
The delivery system is cost effective, marketable, stable and offers broad access.
Long term mutually successful physician and provider relationships exist.
Physician and provider contracts are systems compatible, loaded correctly, timely and meet legal standards.
Physician and provider behavior changes to meet health plan goals.
Trains and services physicians, providers and practice managers.
Recruits physicians and providers in accordance with access strategies developed by the Medical Expense Team.
Acts as health plan's primary liaison with physicians, providers and practice managers.
Initiates actions to influence and change behavior of physicians and providers to meet Health Plan goals and objectives.
Job Qualifications:

BS / BA degree.
1 to 3 years experience in health care, preference for managed care experience.
