Reporting Manager

General Purpose:

The manager provides leadership to both Regulatory Reporting and Client Reporting managers, supervisors and teams that are responsible for tax reporting, and client reporting to all customers of Fiserv ISS.

The manager participates in company-wide initiatives that will effect the organizations ability to comply with regulatory reporting requirements to the IRS and customers as well as client statement reporting. May lead cross functional project teams. Works directly with and coaches Managers/Supervisors with regard to goal setting, staff development, project management, cost controls and service enhancements.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


Provides direction to manager of the Regulatory Reporting Group responsible for creation and reconciliation of various 1099 Forms, Form 5500s and Funeral Trust Tax Returns and the Federal Tax Withholding associated with Fiserv ISS client accounts. Participates in new product development efforts as related to statementing and regulatory reporting issues and sets priorities for department.
Interviews, hires, coaches and develops staff members. Monitors and evaluates job performance of manager and supervisor. Assists managers in creating development plans for themselves and their staff.
Assesses training needs for the Fiserv ISS client service groups as related to regulatory reporting issues. Implements training plans and programs to ensure staff receives consistent and reliable training for work performed.
Develops and maintains project plans, goals, and budget in collaboration with managers. Monitors and reports statistical data and progress in meeting established goals.
Identifies and executes streamlining ideas to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Identifies and executes new processes to improve service. Resolves problems and negotiates positive customer outcomes with clients, brokers and other throughout the company.


Supervisory Duties:

Responsible for leading and managing 2 direct reports with a span of control of 20.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

Position requires an individual who operates independently with minimal direction. Work is primarily reviewed on overall results of the area. The position requires the ability to make quick decisions, use excellent judgement, work with a variety of personalities and demonstrate flexibility to handle multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication is necessary.

Education/Experience:

College degree is required with finance/business major preferred.
Knowledge of performance management, training, project management and streamlining processes. Individual needs a thorough understanding of leadership and management principles.
Knowledge of retirement plans and investment vehicles required.
