The supervisor is responsible for total Customer Service and Repair satisfaction within the assigned service area under the guidance of the Regional Service Manager. Operating within the Medical Devices Industry, this working Supervisor oversees all service center operations relating to repairs, field service, Customer repair issues, and technical assistance. This position is responsible for the overall supervision of a small, local service center and the management of local HR functions, security, asset management, and technical compliance issues within that service center. Additional operations include administrative tasks such as shipping and receiving, aeration of medical devices, administrative and Customer related paper work, data entry, and oversight for in-bound and out-bound phone calls. The Supervisor would also perform limited level 1 and level 2 repairs in facility, plan and perform Preventive Maintenance (PMs), training, and seminars to assist Customers in reducing repair costs, participate in sales and promotion of service contracts as assigned, provide pre-site inspection support for service contracts, provide logistical support for local accounts, and keep personal records of travel schedules, expenses and service reports. The Supervisor will also prepare and submit all necessary reports (administrative and expense reports) as required, in a timely and accurate manner and direct the staff toward all assigned targets and goals set by the Regional Service Manager. The ability to maintain accurate parts and asset inventories and assure tight and responsible fiscal control is essential. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) A minimum of 1-year experience as a Lead Technician, or a combination of repair and supervisory experience equivalent to 6 years is required. A minimum of a 2 year degree in a related field, or Trade School Certificate, or the equivalent experience is required. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required. Strong supervisory skills, employee performance assessment knowledge, and counseling skills or the potential for the same is required. Must be computer literate and have experience with software applications including MS Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Access, etc. Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to train others is essential. Strong written and verbal communications skills are required as is experience in product training in a technical environment. A high degree of personal organization and the ability to perform required duties without close supervision is required. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be Customer focused. This is a hands on position and the successful candidate must be proficient in precise electro- mechanical repairs.
