Shipping Manager

Principle Function:

Doctor Diabetic Supply, a medical supply and distribution company based in Miami, FL,  has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Shipping Manager to join our organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Meeting inventory control operational standards by contributing inventory control information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying inventory control system improvements.


Meeting inventory control financial standards by providing budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; and implementing corrective actions.


Establishing inventory levels by studying supply usage patterns and forecasts; and setting reorder points.

 

Verifying inventory levels by taking physical counts; tracking lost items; and adjusting records.

Maintaining inventory by ordering and receiving requirements; and inputting receipts and adjustments.

Maintaining safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; and complying with Florida legal regulations.

 

Minimum Requirements:

2+ years prior Supervision Experience

2+ years prior Shipping Experience

2+ years prior Inventory Management Experience

H.S. Diploma

 

Skills:

 

Candidate must have Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills (Spanish Language a Plus).

 

Candidate must be a highly motivated, self-directed, self-starter with the ability to work independently at all levels of this organization.

 

Candidate must be able to manage shipping staff, as well as interface with other department heads as needed.

 

Candidate must have Knowledge of and Facility with Computers, Shipping and Inventory Management Software.
