Maxim Strategic Account Manager: (SAM)
The Strategic Account Manager position is a challenging and dynamic one filled with growth opportunities. Based at the factory in Sunnyvale, CA, the SAM is the worldwide point of contact for a designated strategic customer. The SAM is responsible for working with field sales to establish, maintain, and improve the business relationship between the customer and Maxim. This position has high visibility within all departments at Maxim and requires that the SAM work closely with the various business units to increase revenue at the customer. The SAM is required to add value and offer input at every level so that the factory will execute business decisions that are in the best interest of Maxim. The SAM is the advocate for the customer within the factory and represents Maxim in all business transactions. The SAM gathers and disseminates information from the customer to all parties within Maxim and works closely with the field sales at Maxim to satisfy customer requests, facilitate design wins, and track projects.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
? Daily backlog management: Purchase orders, change orders, shipment coordination, reservation management
? Expediting lines down situations within manufacturing and business management
? Process and qualify sample requests
? Information dissemination: Analyze forecasts, track project status, monitor design opportunities, understand and implement customer goals and objectives, follow market trends, and control the customer?s perception of Maxim within the factory
? Process quotes and pricing contracts, including negotiations
? Follow up and report on customer?s awards and forecast commits; Report findings to the business units and field sales
? Work with legal to respond to customer contracts, programs, and terms & conditions
? Coordinate customer visits
? Provide internal/external reports: Includes responding to supplier report cards, on-time performance reports, open order reports, and revenue/sales reports
? Coordinate all quality assurance requests: RMA processing, product change notification, device qualification requests, customer special requests, and facility audit requests
? Other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
? 4- year college degree
? 3-4 years of experience in account management, inside sales, or customer service (semiconductor industry preferred but not necessary)
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Ability to multi-task and prioritize on a daily basis
? Detail and goal-oriented with strong computer skills
? Ability to work with others towards a common goal
? Energetic and self-motivated with a positive attitude
? Proactive and solution-oriented thinking
? Ability to see situations from a Macro point of view
