Supervisor - Patient Accounts

HBCS is a leader in healthcare receivable management providing billing, follow-up and collection service to not-for-profit hospitals throughout the US. Our core competencies are quality outcomes, sophisticated technology, and a streamlined approach for cash acceleration.

Operating from 3 distinct locations, HBCS provides revenue cycle management including electronic billing, insurance follow-up, self-pay recovery and bad debt services.

We are currently seeking a self-starting, dynamic Supervisor to:

? Coordinate HBCS insurance or patient collection efforts and direct the activities of a team of representatives in the collection of current/delinquent receivables or managed care on behalf of member hospitals.

? Delegate work assignments to team members.

? Establish daily and monthly work goals for the team.

? Maintain quality standards, turnaround time and performance metrics for team and department.

? Report and track payer issues and trends to management.

? Research and resolve issues for internal and external customers.

? Track and document employee attendance.

? Coordinate employee performance management and appraisal.

? Identify training needs and issues and provide back-up support, training and coaching in job duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.

? Proactively search for new process improvement opportunities.

? Interact with HBCS staff and representatives to explain/identify systems issues and requirements.

? Provide clear, concise information to departmental management on status of events.

Minimum Requirements: Associates degree (A. A.) or higher preferred. Must have at least 5 years proven ability to manage a successful team. Strong customer focus and sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and accurately. Experience in claims processing or administration, project management, production work flow, productivity improvement, hiring, training, performance evaluations. Ability to implement and maintain policies and procedures. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Healthcare call center experience highly desirable.
