Purpose

As a specialist, you'll administer all leaves of absence, ensuring that Federal guidelines and Target procedures are adhered to and administered consistently.

Responding to all incoming calls related to leaves of absence and benefits from team members and other Human Resources partners in the field
Receiving and processing all incoming e-mails and communication pertaining to LOA administration
Ensuring appropriate notes are indicated on documents as necessary; keying LOAs processes into the MAX system including requests, returns, extensions and FMLA
Understanding Target LOA policy and procedures related to verifying eligibility of an LOA, FMLA regulations, job reinstatement rights, combining leaves, and processing premium payments
Completing various reports as assigned and required to maintain LOA administration
Partnering with payroll when dealing with paid leaves to ensure team members are paid in an accurate and timely manner
Mailing confirmation letters as required and completing corresponding FMLA form documenting necessary information for team member file
Recalculating and adjusting leave-end dates based on new information as it is received
Documenting team members returning from leave
Maintaining performance standards in guest service, productivity and quality
