Team Leader - Jacksonville, NC

*Models sales and service excellence through the World Class Customer Service process (WCCS).
*Accountable for driving achievement of key customer service measurement improvement.
*Implements key sales and marketing initiatives such as the Product Special Flyer (PSF) and National/Local promotions.
*Responsible for branch display sales through effective use of the Branch Merchandising Program.
*Understands and participates in controlling branch expenses and improving productivity.
*Facilitates flow of communication between management and branch sales team by leading daily activities and meetings.
*Provides management with feedback for process improvements.
*Clarifies questions pertaining to job assignments. Reassigns staff duties for workload variance. Implements work schedules.
*Assists with training of new hires. Assists with training of team members with issues pertaining to process improvements and Customer Focused Quality System (CFQS) programs.
*Actively participates in Company's quality initiative and supports continuous improvement by utilizing the Customer Focused Quality System (CFQS) and Voice of the Customer tools, such as Customer Concern Forms (CCF's), Opportunities for Improvement (OFI's) and Request for Corrective Action (RCA's).
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

*Models superior selling skills and leverages the Grainger Value. *Package in selling situations to influence customer buying decisions.
*Facilitates employee orientation. Develops employees through continued training as needed.
*Understands work flow and business needs and how job assignments impact productivity and customer service.
*Effective communication and interpersonal relations skills.
*Demonstrated ability to model superior customer service.
*Strong results orientation and demonstrated ability to model the importance of First Pass Yield.
*High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.


*Helps branch sales team meet customer demand by providing expertise on sales, quality, systems and service issues. Directly involved in work flow and work processes. Provides direction to the branch sales team with respect to decisions that are needed to meet and exceed customer demand. Provides immediate assistance with respect to team facilitation, communication and training.
