POSITION OVERVIEW:

? Telecommunications Network Support Professional
? Provide 7x24x365 call support (scheduled)
? Provided Advanced Troubleshooting for Tellabs EMS systems and DLC and FTTP product groups and associated software
? Troubleshoot ATM ? Frame Relay data related issues. ATM SWITCHES
? Support and mentor all TAC T1 and T2 personnel
? Provide authoring input into KM tool for EMS & DLC related issues.
? Maintain product certifications
? Close or escalate all assigned Remedy Cases
? Provide feedback to TELLABS Access Products Engineering
? Create MOP for complex processes as related to the Tellabs EMS, DLC in associated environments.
? Troubleshooting IP and ATM data network issues including but not limited to: ROUTERS, SWITCHES, BRAS (Redback) Testing and circuit validation of data circuits (loop back, ping, trace route)



QUALIFICATIONS:

? 5 years experience providing DLC and EMS technical support
? In-depth knowledge of Tellabs EMS 1090 & 1000 Family of DLC and FTTP.
? Very Strong ATM troubleshooting background
? Understand customer related EMS troubles and associated network problems.
? In-depth knowledge of UNIX, SOLARIS a plus
? In-depth knowledge of ORACLE (or other relational sql compliant database)
? Network Certifications CC(NA/NP/IE) in: Routing & Switching Design Network Security a PLUS
? Network Sniffer experience a PLUS
? Programming Experience in Perl or scripting languages.
? Data Tools and test equipment experience
TBERD (or equivalent)
SMARTBITS (or equivalent)
SUNRISE (or equivalent)
TTC (or equivalent)
? Experience with:
NMA
? Loop Testing MLT
? Experience with TL1 and SNMP



YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 years

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

TRAVEL PERCENTAGE: 26-50%
