Telephone Operators Part-Time/On-Call

Position: Part-Time, On-Call

Schedule/Hours: Telephone Operators will work on an "on-call 24/7" schedule, work hours will vary rotational 1st (day) /2nd (afternoon) / 3rd (graveyard) shifts. No guarantee on number of work hours a week, this is a 24 hours/day, 7 days/week environment.

- Salary:$21.07/an hour, this position is not eligible for FlexDollars to use toward towards the cost of benefits, if enrolled for company benefits it will be an out of pocket cost to the employee.

There is a required performance test you must pass in order to be considered/interviewed for this position.

INDICATIVE DUTIES:
Operates Company telephone call processing system to handle incoming and outgoing calls. Assists supervisor in operating problems and job instructions when needed. Learns Company organizational structure to process calls accordingly. Performs routine clerical duties and light typing to update call processing system information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of: Operating procedures for Company telephone computerized system for processing and administrative/clerical detail incidental to a telephone call center. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Basic computer system skills.

Ability to: Receive and process calls quickly, accurately and in a courteous/professional manner. Memorize names, departments, and phone numbers to expedite calls promptly. Perform miscellaneous clerical work required in a telephone center office. Work tactfully and diplomatically with co-workers in a team environment. Maintain excellent employee and public relations. Adjust to operating procedures and work schedule changes.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are of a level comparable with those normally acquired through courses taken in obtaining a high school education and at least one year's experience in telephone system operation.
