Transportation Operations Coordinator

Exel Transportation is seeking qualified candidates for the Operations Coordinator position in our Chalfont, PA office.  Part of $40 billion worldwide company Exel specializes in intermodal, truckload, LTL shipments and warehousing. Exel is searching for an individual who is looking to become part of a hard working team in a relaxed atmosphere with one of the fastest growing office in the Exel network.  Willing to train the right recent graduate.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the coordination of customer shipments across all transportation modes while controlling transportation costs.

Responsibilities:Customer service?providing excellent communication throughout the transportation process. Expected to solve problems for the customer as their representative to the carriers.  Responsible for all the day to day activities in the transportation cycle; dispatching carriers, customer reporting and customer invoicing. Independent decision making to meet the customer?s expectation.

Qualifications:Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.Organized, detail oriented problem solver.Ability to deal with people in stressful situation.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strict deadlines.Strong computer skills; including Windows operating system, MS Excel, MS Word, email, and internet browsers.Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

College degree preferred
