PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
The Vice President of Branch Development will report directly to the SVP National Sales & Service Programs, and is responsible for developing and executing the long term strategy of Fidelity’s branch network. This strategy is premised upon a multi-channel approach and should encompass the customer acquisition and retention/penetration goals for the target customer segment the branches serve. The strategy and execution plan should look to exploit unique market opportunities (as they vary by DMA), leverage internal marketing data and promotional plans, and likewise, take competitive landscape/opportunities into account. The VP must adhere to annual budget parameters.
The VP of Branch Development will work closely with business partners including the Branch Field Sales team, Advertising, Segment Marketing, FREC, and Finance. This role will also oversee the detailed market and competitive analysis of the various DMAs as well as submarket analysis. It is critical that Marketing insights and strategies be aligned and incorporated into the Branch Development Plan. Additionally, this role will work closely with Advertising to ensure that the branding and messaging approach within our branches is consistent with Multi-channel strategy and over FPI vision. With 110 branches today and a plan to grow to 175, the VP will be charged with raising the overall strategy and approach to the next level. Integration of the branch network strategy into the overall FPI acquisition and retention plans is critical in the plan evolution.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
? Develop branch network strategy to grow to 175 branches over the next 5 years
? Partner closely with Marketing and Finance to refine DMA and competitive modeling and approach so it fully incorporates competitive landscape and marketing/promotional plans into location selection framework. Look at other industry best practices in this area to ensure approach and framework are “best in class”.
? Ensure team is appropriately managing and coordinating various projects.
? Chair monthly steering meeting with Distribution Senior management to appropriately discuss current and pending projects.
? Present overall strategy and progress against plan to FPI President 2-3 times per year. Incorporate feedback into branch development strategic plan.
Partner with other Business Units and Senior Management
? Work with FREC in FREC led site vision and site launch meetings, working to achieve overall branch design goals.
?   Work with Gensler, Advertising and FREC to ensure signage and branding approach meet overall strategy and execution parameters.
? Coordinate with Finance to ensure all new/renos/relos meet ROI hurdles and that post opening results and learnings are incorporated into new site strategies.
? Ensure that projected financials for each project are incorporated into annual goal setting process for FPI (via Finance).
Communication & Team Development
? Develop team’s strategic thinking competencies in order to evolve from current tactical approach.
? Develop team’s analytical capabilities to bring DMA modeling and site location framework to align more closely with customer and marketing intelligence.
Communicate frequently with field management to ensure strategic vision is embraced and part of field execution approach.

Education and Experience
? Experience in the commercial real estate industry is desirable. Real estate modeling and analysis as part of overall Business Plan—critical part of experience.
? College degree, advanced degree a plus
? 10-15 years of business experience in areas such as strategic planning, business development, and sales strategy.
? Prior experience in retail, multi-channel environment formulating and executing new store/branch opening strategy

? Relationship management skills are key to success in this role
? Program / project management skills and experience are required
? Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well in matrixed environment.
