Responsible for supervising Union employees in the warehouse and distribution operations. Functions supervised include receiving, put-away, pre-pack, crating, order fulfillment, and/or pack-out. Supervisor is responsible for managing employee performance factors including, in part: Attendance, Safety, Job Knowledge, Work Quality, Work Volume, Use of Work Time, ACE, Flexibility and Teamwork.
AA/AS degree with 5-10+ years experience or BA/BS degree with 2-5+ years experience or MA/MS degree with 0-2+ years experience.
Candidate should have familiarity with distribution, logistics, and merchandising principles along with experience in planning and executing daily production requirements. Any experience with a Business Enterprise System software (BAAN, SAP, C10), WMS software and warehouse operations is a plus. Candidate needs to demonstrate and exhibit successful supervisory traits necessary to manage a diversified hourly workforce in a fast-paced and challenging warehouse environment. Individual should be a customer-focused and results oriented professional who can initiate and implement necessary changes to accommodate the changing business needs as required. Individual must be ambitious, conscientious and a self-starter who takes pride and ownership in their daily activity. Candidate needs to be team and detail oriented, a good communicator and proficient in Microsoft Office package applications.
Past supervision of bargaining unit employees. Ability to motivate and direct employees. Ability to build a team environment where everyone is working toward common goals. Position is for 1st shift and reports to RCD's Operations Manager.
