Accounting Instructor (Adjunct)

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. a publicly traded corporation and one of the nation's leading providers of post-secondary training for adult learners with 91 campuses, serving over 40,000 students nationwide is currently seeking a highly motivated, customer service-oriented Accounting Instructor for our Everest College ? Aurora, CO campus.

We are looking an Adjunct Instructor to teach morning and evening classes Mon ? Fri for our Accounting program. Responsibilities include:

Maintain a teaching assignments for each quarter.

Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure that course content and objectives are met.

Cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus.

Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.

Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.

Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance ?concerns? to the Program Chair or DOE.

Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed.

Qualified candidates should have:

Excellent presentation skills, organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge of subject area and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Prior teaching experience preferred.
