Adjunct Instructor of HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Tampa Bay DeVry University Center seeks qualified professionals to teach
Health Information Technology curriculum.
Courses may include Medical Terminology, Data Applications & Healthcare Quality with Lab, Diagnostic Coding and Introduction to Health Services & Information Systems.
Required Experience: Five or more years in a management capacity within the healthcare industry, encompassing experience in health information management, healthcare informatics or a related area. Regulatory compliance/accreditation experience is ideal. At least two years teaching experience at the postsecondary level preferred.
Required Education: Master's degree in the field of instruction from a regionally accredited university plus RHIT, RHIA and/or CCS credentials. RN, MD or PhD credentials are desirable.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ability to incorporate the application of technology in classroom instruction and lab environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with others in a team environment; knowledge of pedagogy; strong organizational skills; strong technology skills; knowledge of science lab environments; willingness to develop additional classroom delivery skills; and a willingness to participate in continues professional development.
