ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE ? DOCTORATE & MASTER?S DEGREE PROGRAMS ? INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED STUDIES

This position interfaces with prospective and existing customers and key influentials to communicate the philosophy and features of the University with the objective of maintaining and increasing the University?s customer population in an accurate, professional and ethical manner.
Responsibilities:
? Maintain harmonious service to customer relations.
? Acquire and maintain accurate information relating to the university?s programs, products, service, policy and procedures, enrollment process, and promotional activities.
? Present the University?s capabilities accurately.
? Achieve established enrollment goals.
? Conduct lead generation through outside contacts at various businesses.
? Use skill assessment, personal interviews, past experiences, previous education and enrollment backgrounds to help the customer determine which degree program is appropriate.
? Market the University?s products and services by developing new prospects, working with company prospects and by interfacing with established customers. Complete a customer facilities tour with each new prospect.
? Evaluate each candidate based on his or her needs, desires, interests, qualifications, motivations, commitments, and determinations.
? Complete and maintain all required reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
? Refer students as appropriate to Financial Aid and VA.
? Verify admissions criteria and recommend admission to the University.
? Assist customers in completing the intake process in an efficient and supportive manner, resolving issues of customer concern and continued registration.
? Assist students with course scheduling, degree mapping, audits and troubleshooting.
? Provide students with unofficial degree evaluations where needed.
? Ensure timely processing of official evaluations.
? Uphold academic policy on a daily basis including course drops, tuition refund, changing major, and ordering additional transcripts.
? Actively participate in the retention of students through phone calls to stop-outs and follow-up with re-enters and no-starts.
? Maintain a high retention rate for continuing students.
? Resolve student problems by providing procedural assistance when registering for class, dropping a class, using the production center services, and obtaining an ID Card.
? Familiarize customers with the various functions performed by the Bookstore, Production Center, Library and Financial Aid.
? Encourage team spirit within the department and the school.
? Strive to develop a leadership role within the team.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience desired. A minimum of 1 year prior experience in Admissions, within a proprietary school system desired. Excellent verbal communication and telephone skills are necessary. Must be able to address student needs and resolve issues with diplomacy and tact, respond to customer requirements with a sense of urgency and maintain confidentiality.Requires a working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
