After School Art Teacher

We are a fun after school art enrichment program! We teach drawing to children ages 3 ? to 12 years old. We are currently accepting teacher applications for 2006-2007 school year. Here is information about teaching with us.

 



Classes are scheduled all over the Denton/Collin County area at local recreation centers, preschools, day cares, and elementary schools. Mostly, our current openings are in Lewisville ISD and Frisco ISD. The curriculum, supplies, and materials are provided to the teachers. The new instructor will go through a training period to learn and master the Young Rembrandts? method. This is generally 2 weeks about 10 hours a week. Training is paid at $7/hour. A background check is required for all instructors and employees of Young Rembrandts.

 

The current positions are about 3 to 5 classes per week. Classes are 1 hour long and instructors are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class. This is very light part time work. The starting pay is $20.00 per class plus a gas allowance of 2.50 per day, up to $10/week. We require a commitment of a minimum 3 afternoons per week. Applicants must be available from 2:15-4:30 p.m.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, with college level drawing experience, and solid classroom experience with children. We also require the instructors to have his/her own reliable transportation.

 

We also have availability to the right applicants to assist in the enrollment processes throughout the school year. This position requires excellent people and organizational skills, as well as computer skills.
