MMI currently has an opening available in our Spokane, WA branch for an Area Director, Education & Community Relations. Candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and ability as described below.

 

As the Area Director, Education & Community Relations, you will develop relationships with organizations for purposes of volunteer workshops and local creditor relations, promote community awareness, interest and sponsorship of education services provided by MMI as a means of providing financial literacy and an understanding of personal debt management, and provide education programs in the community.

 

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement self-motivated strategies that support educational endeavors and community relations. Lead key departmental initiatives.Create a highly innovative and motivated funding/contribution campaign.Keep up-to-date with changes in the industry through professional affiliation and continuing professional development.Design, develop and deliver grants and proposals to corporate, financial institutions, small business entities and other non-profit organizations.Recruit new volunteers to present workshops.Generate referrals for and conduct new workshops for audiences in educational settings, government agencies, corporate/business environments, community and/or professional groups.Provide necessary reports required on workshop activities. Represent MMI at trade shows including setup and networking.  Complete required results report and assessment.Represent MMI with media events as needed.Serve as a back up for volunteers.25% travel expected.General schedule is Monday-Friday.  Hours are as the workload dictates.  Occasional nights/weekends.Other duties as assigned.

 

RequirementsBachelor?s degree in related field and 2 years job experience or 5 years acceptable job related experience.Must have the confidence and professional demeanor to deliver paid workshop presentations and provide on-site visitations with decision makers in their community.Demonstrate ?Responsibility Performance? within his or her past work experience.Must strive and adhere to performance optimization and prove with past work history.Must demonstrate highly visible personable skills, such as communication, etiquette and a strong professional corporate demeanor.Experience in sales field and teacher certification, preferred.PC and keyboard skills with the Microsoft family of products including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Analytical, financial and presentation skills.Management, funding and business development reporting.Cold call experience.Field work experience.
