Assistant Director, Educational Services

The National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) is unwavering in its commitment to strengthen the court reporter education system and is the leader in advancing the profession of those who capture and integrate the spoken word into a comprehensive and accurate information base for the benefit of the public and private sectors. NCRA seeks an Assistant Director of Educational Services to market and promote the value and benefits of NCRA to court reporting program educators, administrators, and owners throughout the United States and Canada. The position requires:

 

?  A business development background in an educational environment.

?  Astute recruiting skills, capability to identify and encourage all court reporting programs to avail themselves of the values and benefits available from NCRA.

?  The ability to introduce and market new product and service opportunities to court reporting programs.

?  Excellent communication and rapport building skills.

?  Extensive travel (70%) within the United States and Canada.

?  An intellectually strong and passionate leader, able to engender trust and commitment among court reporting program educators, owners, and administrators.

?  Success in building partnerships, facilitating outreach, and collaborating with various audiences including educators, administrators, small business owners, and members of an association.

?  A leader with a proven record of balancing the needs of schools with the interests of an association.

?  Ability to plan strategically for budgetary and personnel needs.

?  A proven ability to balance the sometimes competing demands of schools (court reporting programs), educators, administrator/owners, and association membership.

 

Some of the criteria upon which candidates will be evaluated include: A Master?s Degree, preferably in a discipline related to Education or Business. 7-10 years of experience in business development. Demonstrated managerial experience, preferably within an association environment.
