Kids & Company, our NAEYC-accredited preschool, provides a stimulating learning environment for more than 86 children.  Currently, Kids & Company is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Assistant Preschool Director to join the staff at our headquarters in Carson, California!

 

About the Position

As Assistant Preschool Director, you will work closely with the director to support our teachers and provide them with the tools they need to excel. You will also be an invaluable resource for parents as we strive to provide the best possible learning environment for their children. Basic job responsibilities include the following:

 Assist with daily operations of preschoolMentor teachers and assist in curriculum planningProvide an enthusiastic, nurturing environment that maintains students? best interestsQualifications for the Assistant Director position include: Bachelor?s degree in Early Child Development required, as well as Supervision and Administrative course completionA minimum of 5 years ECE classroom experience and 3 years preschool office experience preferredCurrent certification to teach in classrooms for ages 6 weeks to 5 yearsWorking knowledge of the California Community Care Licensing GuidelinesExperience providing parent support and resources  Must be computer literate with experience in Excel and Word

? Experience in the NAEYC accreditation process, and knowledge of a variety of curriculum and program goals, would be a considerable plus
