Assistant in Management-Germantown, MD

Responsible for consistently meeting Lead Teacher responsibilities. Supports Director in meeting academy responsibilities of Customer Service. Assume Director or Assistant Director duties in his/her absence. Ability to teach, monitor, and supervise any age group of children utilizing prescribed educationally focused curriculum. Must have ability to adapt to needs of the children and the community. Maintain and foster positive and constructive interaction with children and parents. Conduct tours for potential clients. Assist with Teacher training and development. Ensure and assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment. Maintain and foster effective communication with Director. Assist with other duties as needed: may include food preparation, van chauffeuring, answering the phone, responding to parent questions, and opening and closing the Academy. Participate in special events.

Two years of experience in an early childhood education center or licensed childcare provider. Some coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred but will accept applicants with HS diploma and relevant experience. Must meet or be willing to work toward meeting LPA and State Director requirements. Any licenses, certificates or specialized ongoing training that are required by State law or regulatory agencies. Meet state regulations to supervise a group of children alone.
