Ross University founded in 1978 with the purpose of educating students who are interested in a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Ross University headquarters, admissions and administrative offices are located in Edison, NJ. While basic science and pre-clinical courses are taught on our campuses in the Caribbean, Ross students complete their clinical rotations in the U.S. and are licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. after passing all prerequisite examinations. Essential Job Functions:


The Associate Director of Admissions (ADA) will be based in the Boston area and is assigned a territory with responsibility for recruiting prospective students for Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM). The ADA is responsible for corresponding with individuals prior to and after admission and assuring quality and continuity of service from the admissions office. This position requires at least 50% travel.

Essential Responsibilities: Visit undergraduate institutions including pre-medical/veterinary student clubs for recruitment purposes.Updates and maintains inquiry database as applicable.Follows up on contacts provided by the central office and tracks applicants through the enrollment process.Advise applicants on the application process and policiesActs as a liaison with the admissions team, interviewing sites and admissions committees.Conducts admission interviews, post secondary information sessions and presentations for applicants to RUSVM and RUSMRepresents the University at health and career events and at selected professional meetings.Serves as the contact and resource person for all admitted students from their territory. Confirms details of commitment steps with admitted applicants.Publicizes outreach events in assigned territory.Maintains supplies of marketing materials.Prepares weekly and monthly activity reports.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong public speaking and communication skillsAbility to work independently and pro-actively seek out contacts to meet recruitment goalsMust have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, clear driving record and flexible schedule for evening availability

 

Required Credentials and Education:Bachelors of Science Marketing, Psychology, Education or related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience. Masters degree is preferred.
