Argosy University is a rapidly growing, predominantly graduate institution serving twelve-thousand students from campuses throughout the United States. Argosy University is a component of Education Management Corporation (EDMC) a dynamic leader in postsecondary education.  Over eighty percent of Argosy University?s students are enrolled in graduate programs at the doctoral and masters level in four areas of concentration: psychology and the behavioral sciences; business administration and information technology; education and human development and the health sciences professions. Argosy University offers limited, but rapidly growing offerings at the associate and bachelor degree levels in health sciences, as well as the other fields of emphasis.

 

Currently we are seeking a Curriculum Coordinator who supports the College by being an advocate for the quality, growth and integrity of programs in the respective discipline.  Will be responsible for coordinating the research, planning and development of new and revised curricula in a particular discipline area to meet program quality and currency and expansion goals.

 

Masters degree in academic field preferred, two years experience in higher education curriculum development or instructional design required.  Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, project management skills required.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

?  Support Curriculum Planning efforts to insure quality, growth and integrity of academic programs in respective discipline.

 

?  Under the direction of the AVP of Curriculum Planning and the Deans, coordinate the development of new curricula as directed by AU's strategic goals and/or as initiated by campus faculty and approved by the Dean.  Assure that all academic quality, currency and implementation goals are met. 

 

?  Coordinate the evaluation and revision of current curricula to assure that all academic quality, currency and implementation goals are met.  Assure rubrics are in place for all programs.

 

?  Assist with the development and implementation of course based assessment through measurable, student-focused outcomes that are linked to program outcomes.  Assist with the development process to assess student achievement at key points during the program.

 

?  Support the College Chair Network by scheduling meetings; organizing, consolidating, and disseminating information; taking meeting minutes; and other administrative tasks.

 

?  Assist in ensuring the accuracy of all Argosy publications describing academic programs.

 

?  Support joint efforts between Argosy University, the Art Institutes, South University, and Brown Maki College in respective discipline areas.  Assure that all academic quality requirements of AU and growth objectives are met.

 

?  Assure that all non-traditional programs and courses offered by AU (including Argosy Advantage) meet academic quality requirements of AU as well as Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association for discipline area.  Support achievement of course content, faculty hiring, end of course evaluations, and student academic achievement as needed.  Support Deans? approval process for online courses and faculty. 

 

?  Work with campuses on the organization of regular Department Reviews and help facilitate the development of quality improvement program goals.

 

?  Assure that all programs are current and responsive to marketplace needs for graduates. 

 

?  Assist with regional accreditation and regulatory approval processes regarding academic programs where needed. 

 

?  Support Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Deans in the National Department Review for all programs based on the results of the campus based department reviews.

 

?  Support new campuses in respective discipline areas.  Insure that the current curriculum is available and easily accessible to the program chair or dean (Curriculum in a box).

 

?  Assist with the development of an orientation program to Assessment of Student Academic Achievement and the Department Review at AU for all new faculty, chairs, and Deans.
