Columbus State Community College, located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, is a learning institution committed to hiring flexible, creative, and accomplished people who seek innovative work methods and practices while promoting the College?s mission. The College has a quarterly enrollment of around 22,000 students on main campus, nine satellite sites, and in a variety of distance learning modalities.  The college currently invites interested applicants to apply for the Dean of Arts & Sciences programs.  This division consists of over 50 degree and certificate programs with an approximate enrollment of 12,000 students.

 

Responsibilities include providing leadership and management of the Arts & Sciences programs within limits of established policy and procedure, representing the College to off-campus constituents. The position maintains responsibility for managing career & technical programs, human resources and making personnel action decisions affecting department chairs in consultation and collaboration with Provost. Delegates responsibilities to Chairpersons, provides direction in making academic and management decisions, and ensures work complies with academic and College standards and policy. Qualified candidates must have a Doctoral Degree in a closely related field, with more than 7 years college-level teaching/educational experience, and progressively responsible higher education administrative experience, with extensive curriculum development expertise.
